Open/close CD drive using keyboard

Some people may fear that repeated usage of their DVD-rom eject button  to insert or remove DVD may spoil  their button. One way to get around this is to rightclick on the corresponding drive in my computer and select  Eject or Create a shortcut   to eject  cd/dvd drive.
So am gonna use  the swiss army tool Nircmd  to do it.After downloading this tool extract it to folder of ur choice.

Steps Create a shortcut on the desktop  by right clicking anywhere on the desktop and choose shortcut.

Browse to the location where u have extracted your NirCmd tool and click on NirCmd.exe.add the following arguments to the path which should be placed in da inverted quotes. These arguments should be placed after the quote. My cd drive is h: so i have given it as argument .You should give ur cd-rom drive there
“C:\path\nircmd.exe” cdrom open H:

Click on next and name it as cdeject.exe and click on finish button.Choose icon of ur choice and click ok.
Now click it to see the magic. you can also assign a shortcut key combination to the cdeject.exe.

CD-rom close
We know how to open a cd drive .Now lets close it to prevent flies or mosquitoes entering into ur cpu hahaha.
Follow the above steps but instead of  cdrom open write cdrom close. Then the argument looks as
“C:\path\nircmd.exe” cdrom close H:
Choose suitable icon and assign a shotrcut key combination.Enjoy Folks.
