Google chrome is the first browser to invent features like Incognitomode for anonymous browsing,running each tab as a seperate process.In addition to the inbuilt features here is list of must have extensions to google chrome users.


WOT(Web of trust):- This extension warns you about risky Web sites that try to scam visitors, deliver malware or send spam. The WOT community has scanned millions of Web sites. Web site ratings are continuously updated by millions of members of the WOT community and from many trusted sources, such as phishing site listings. The nice thing about WOT is it doesn't block the site to the user, like other reputation-based wares, but gives users a traffic light graphic which helps them to know that they are going into dangerous sites.

Google Chrome Backup :-This tool helps you to create backups and restore them,It also helps to manage profiles such as bookmarks,history etc...

Xmarks Bookmark synchronization :-This  is one of my favourite and popular bookmarking tool. It gives users a backup for their bookmarks and lets them sync them across computers and browsers Firefox, Safari, IE and now, Chrome. 

IE tab:- Some sites still require internet explorer to view them properly.This extension solves that problem.

 Shareholic :- This is one of the most useful addons which connects chrome to many social networking sites like Facebbok,twitter ,Digg,LinkedIn......

AdThwart :-This reduces the number of ads displayed on a web page thus make us easier to browse.I recommend you also to try this Adblocker.

CoolIris:-This addons provides us a cool 3d way to browse images,videos on the web instead of waiting for each image page to load. The images will appear like a 3d wallpaper.Check out for yourself to see this cool feature.

Google Url shortener:-Url shortening is required now and then these days to send shortened links to our friends.This also helps u to manage shorten the links in your scraps and postings.

Make your dualcore|quadcore systems boot faster

Did u know that we can make systems with multicore to boot faster than normal systems.If u have never heard of it learn how to do it here.We know that all the  booting information of a system is present in boot.ini file we can tweak this file by typing Msconfig in the run dialog box and select boot tab option in windows Vista and 7.For Windows xp select the tab boot.ini and then select advanced options.

In windows 7 and vista select check the box Number of processors and select 2 from the dropdown list.

For windows xp users check the box /NUMPROC then select 2 from the list.

This makes ur system to boot faster.

How to customize windows7 Screensavers

Windows7 got installed with many cool screensavers such as bubbles,ribbons,mystify etc.To tweak the settings of the screen saver we have to do some registry editing.If you dont want to messup with registry editor there is a small portable app called System Screensavers Tweaker  .Using this app you can tweak several changes such as speed,transparency,amount etc easily

Make your older programs run compatible with windows 7

Many of us must have shifted to windows 7 tempted by its awesome features.But some of our older favourite programs may not run on windows.To make those programs play safe with windows here is a small trick .Right click on any shortcut present on our desktop and  select properties

Now choose compatible tab and

Check the box Run the program in compatible mode for and from the drop down list select windows-xpsp2.Click on ok.............

How to dualboot windows xp and windows 7

Now many laptops are being shipped with windows 7 os.Some of the users may still want to  use the  trusted windowsxp.So iam gonna teachu how to install xp on a system preinstalled with windows7.To install windows xp to  dual boot with windows7 we require either an empty partition or you can create an new partition yourself by shrinking free space present in  a drive.If you have a windows7 preinstalled system with many drives then you can select any drive to install xp.Some of the  laptops are shipped only with only one partition,to install winxp on such systems you have to shrink some amount of available free disk space into new partition .Let me tell you how to do that
Open your start menu now type partition in search programs and files box.Now click on Create and format harddisk partition

The disk management window opens now  now click on your c drive and select shrink partition

Now a window fires out querying how much of free disk space is available.You will be shown the total size of the disk,amount of free space available to shrink

Now give the amount of space required for ur new drive and click on shrink button.
After shrinking you will be displayed with raw partition   now right click on it and select New simple volume.

 
New simple volume wizard starts up  confirming again for simple volume in mb,then it assign a drive letter .Now under Format partition section NTFS is selected by default leave it,also give the volume label name ,check the quick format box.

Click on next after the format is completed you will see the new healthy volume with ur volume label.
thats it a new partition is created .Now boot your system with windowxp bootable cd .Select the newly created volume for installing xp after installing you can see that your system starts with windows xp this is bcoz the xp bootloader overwritten windows 7 bootloader.Dont panic now use the software called EasyBcd 1.72 and click on Writembr and see the magic .Restart your computer now you can see both operating systems

In simple terms Comodo time machine is windows time machine.After installing any software if you have any compatability problems associated with it.Then this software comes handy.After installing  the software it reboots ur system and takes snapshot of the entire system.

Enhance google chrome with speed dial

Whenever you click on a new page tab in google chrome you can see a window comprising most frequently  used websites.You can view these pages either as thumbnails or as coloumns.But google doesnt offer us to custmize this page.Using a small extension called Speed dial you can customize this page with your own set of themes,create visual bookmarks ,reorder the bookmarks as u like.

Now the command line interface opens up, from the list of disks select the disk you wish to recover.Here i have chosen my pendrive to recover

Next it asks to select the filesystem ,since this makes its work easier

  Again press enter key to display the memory device

Depending on the type file system select ext2/ext3 for ext file system,for remaining file systems select other since mine is a fat32 system i have selected other option and pressed enter.
Next it asks for the space to be analyzed whether free space to be analyzed or whole .Here there is a small logic according to photorec free space means the are which is made free by accidentaly deleting files.So i opted for free space option .
In the next step it asks where to save the recovered files give the location other than from which you are recovering files

It does the remaining job .Sorry friends for posting such a long post .But this post has got high level of importance thanku for ur patience so that you came this long .

How to make restrictions in windows xp using registry editor

You can perform all the below hacks using Regedit (Registry editor).You can invoke this by typing Regedit in Windows Run dialog box click here to get a detailed tutorial on Registry by me All about Registry .
How to disable right click in windows xp:In windows xp you can disable right click on desktop to prevent creation of newfolders,shortcuts,briefcase etc.
After opening Regedit dive into
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Policies 
In the right side pane create a new Dword called NoViewContextMenu and assign it 1

Just restart the system to see the magic..........
How to Disable beep sounds in windows xp:
After opening regedit navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sound  .On the right side pane you can see a string called Beep.Modify its value to NO. If u cannot locate Beep create a string with name beep and assign it No

How to Disable New option in right click context menu:

Navigate to the key

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

Now delete the New subkey .
